Koala-T thoughts and a case made for editing

In response to Matt’s document outlining the book idea, Chris weighs in with some KOALA-T thoughts:

Thoughts on the book idea

I like the idea.  I don’t feel like I am a good writer but I am fairly creative and willing to give it a go.   I like the idea of alternating the month and each month doing a different chapter. Writing something has always been a hope of mine.

What is our audience?  Is this a comedy, adventure, mystery?

I haven’t been reading much at all lately.  I have mostly read or listened to juvenile chapter books lately.  I have been impressed with how decent many of them are.  Plot? Setting?  Main characters?  Era?

I have entertained the idea of middle school boys that are not overly athletic nor girl crazy.

I like the idea of not knowing where the story is going to end up. I think we could ask Pete to read and edit every six chapters or so.  I do think we need to edit the work for two reasons. As we write more, I would hope our work will get better and therefore going back to get the quality up to snuff.  Also there may be storylines or characters that end up not adding anything to the story.

I would like you to go first to follow your lead.

Most stories even comedies or dramas have a climatic point.  I am not sure how we do that but maybe it will just happen.  If it is too disjointed we could have a bunch of short stories.
